Simple Majority- Passed by a majority of members present and voting in each house of Parliament, much like ordinary law. Special Majority of Parliament-Requires a majority of the total membership of each House (more than 50%) plus a two-thirds majority of members present and voting. Special Majority + State Ratification (Under Article 368)- Election of the President, Supreme Court and High Court powers, distribution of legislative powers, and any of the lists in the Seventh Schedule.
