The 100th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2015 of the Indian Constitution gave effect to the India-Bangladesh Land Boundary Agreement to exchange border enclaves and settle long-standing disputes. Key Provisions: Enclave Exchange: India transferred 111 enclaves to Bangladesh, and received 51 enclaves from Bangladesh. Adverse Possession: It resolved areas under adverse possession. Border Demarcation: It completed the demarcation of approximately 6.1 km of un demarcated boundary. First Schedule Amendment: It altered the territories of four states: Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, and Tripura. Citizenship Rights: It gave enclave residents the right to choose their citizenship.
